Katie Bonham is an award winning independent film maker who’s short films have been selected twice for screening at FrightFest Glasgow.
We discuss how she gained a degree in film theory, her first film ‘Doll’ filmed in her parent’s back garden, ‘Porcelain Ground’ and the Shortcuts to Hell competition, asking her Dad to make a coffin, happy accidents in making her short ‘Paper Round’ - inspired by her job as a 14 year old and the early morning connections made with people on delivering newspapers, social realism and psychological horror, origins of Clive Barker’s Nightbreed Cabal Cut, working with composer Patrick E. Fagan, the difficulty of introducing films, being a 1st Assisstant Director for Damon Rickard, Andy Stewart and Mark Logan and the joys of filming and much more.
