Chattering about Monster Charity Project

Watch on YouTube
Simon Graham (project co-ordinator), Richard McEvoy Cropmpton (sculptor) discussed: the origins of the Monster Charity Project, how they raised £28,000 last year for Make A Wish Foundation, the design of a bust of the Frankenstein Creature and how 28 UK artists are working to re-sculpt them - for which they have carte blanche, celebrity endorsement by Dave Prowse, where and when they can be seen at conventions before they’ll be auctioned to raise funds. We then discussed our favourite movie monsters and which had the most influence, werewolf transformations, Creature from the Black Lagoon, Frankenstein and more.
The busts will be unveiled at Horrorcon UK on 13th and 14th May in Sheffield, and be shown at various other UK conventions, before being auctioned by the Make A Wish Foundation 31st October to 5th November 2017.
